Writing

Cynda is a playwright and poet. Their written work explores themes of queerness, blakness, and small-townness.

Theatre

Written and presented theatre works:

EQUALS Etty: A Christmas Dramedy Scoliosis Doll Collection

Being from Lutruwita (Tasmania), Gurambilbarra (Townsville), and Innisfail, Cynda’s writing for theatre is often focused on uplifting and representing regional stories and perspectives. It’s also pretty funny.

Poetry

Written and presented poetry works:

blakinq Sex Poems (GHOSTS)

A self-described notes-app poet, Cynda’s poetry is deeply truthful, dryly humorous, and meant to be read aloud. They are immersed in the Naarm open-mic poetry scene, and will probably write a book one day. Probably. They often post their poetry on Instagram.

Visual Art

Cynda is also a visual artist, with a focus on the traditional medium of pen to paper, as well as digital art. Their work is silly, fun, trans, and purposefully meaningless, though meaning does tend to find itself in all.

They are currently learning to tattoo. You should get their art on your skin :).
